Cholla Cactus Garden Engagements
When Kalyssa + Michael were just dating they visited Joshua Tree National Park together. We shot their engagements at the Cholla Cactus Garden within the park. This was such a memorable location for them because it was the first place they first told each other “I love you.” They love visiting national parks together and are getting married in Yosemite National Park later this year.
This was Niko and my first time shooting at the Cholla Cactus garden for engagements. It is one of our newest favorite locations! As we made our way through the cactus garden we got the most amazing shots. There was a high wind advisory this day so the sky was continually changing. I think it made for the coolest backdrop along with the cactus. Our day was filled with smiles and laughs with Kalyssa + Michael, they genuinely are amazing human beings. Also, they love film photography so I cannot wait to shoot digital and film on their wedding day in Yosemite! The last photo on this post is my absolute favorite.
