There are few wedding venues in Southern California as magical as Mt. Woodson Castle, and Leslie & Baily’s wedding was a perfect reminder of why we love capturing love stories here. With its historic stone architecture, winding pathways, towering trees, and sweeping mountain views, the castle creates an atmosphere that feels both timeless and intimate—an ideal backdrop for a day filled with emotion, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
Getting Ready in the Castle
The morning began inside the castle’s charming bridal suite as Leslie and her bridesmaids prepared for the day. Soft light poured through the vintage windows, illuminating her details—her gown, jewelry, and handwritten vows.
Meanwhile, Baily and his wedding party spent the morning in one of the castle’s rustic rooms, sharing jokes, memories, and that mix of nerves and excitement that always makes the getting-ready moments so special.
Capturing these behind-the-scenes moments in both photo and video gave us a beautiful foundation for their story—a blend of tenderness, anticipation, and pure joy.
A Ceremony Beneath the Oak Trees
Leslie & Baily exchanged vows beneath Mt. Woodson Castle’s iconic oak tree—one of the most breathtaking ceremony spots in the region. Surrounded by family and friends, they promised their forever as the breeze moved through the branches above.
From wide, cinematic views of the ceremony space to close, emotional reactions as they read their vows, this part of the day gave us so many unforgettable moments to preserve.
Golden Hour Portraits Around the Castle
After the ceremony, we wandered the castle grounds with Leslie & Baily for their portrait session. Mt. Woodson Castle is full of character, and we took advantage of its stone walls, wooden archways, winding staircases, and scenic overlooks.
Golden hour was absolutely stunning—the warm sunlight wrapped around them perfectly, giving us some of our favorite photos and video clips of their entire day. Their connection was effortless, and it radiates through every frame.
A Joyful Reception Under the Stars
The celebration continued outside on the castle lawn, lit with glowing market lights and filled with the sound of laughter, music, and happy tears. Friends and family shared heartfelt toasts, and Leslie & Baily lit up the dance floor with energy that carried through the entire night.
We captured everything—from emotional embraces to spontaneous dance-offs—preserving the atmosphere exactly how it felt in the moment. Their sparkler exit at the end of the night created the perfect cinematic closing to their wedding film.
