Griffin House Wedding in Oregon
Maya + Shawheen have such a unique story, and their love led them to the breathtaking landscapes of the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. They held their wedding at one of our all-time favorite venues The Griffin House.
As their wedding photographer and videographer, Niko and I had the privilege of capturing their love on their wedding day. From the moment we connected with Maya, it was clear just how special and detailed their wedding day would be. Family and friends followed them to Oregon to witness their wedding from all around the world. The stunning backdrop of the Columbia River Gorge at their wedding was incredible.
These two began their day with a first look and exchanged private vows. We were able to take advantage of the beautiful light for photos before the ceremony even started. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we witnessed the prettiest golden sunset along the river. The celebration continued well into the night with dancers that kept the party going. Under the Griffin House’s reception tent, Maya + Shawheen danced the night away.
How does The Griffin House differ from a traditional wedding venue?
The Griffin House is a wedding venue in Oregon that runs along the Columbia River Gorge on the Oregon side. The property is known for its 120-year-old house and stunning cliffside views. The room that the bride gets ready in overlooks the entire cliffside view. The staff is so kind and helpful, it truly is unmatched. Another huge bonus of this wedding venue is the ceremony and reception location all together in the same area. It’s truly a perfect layout for a venue and doesn’t require a ton of walking or traveling.
Where Is The Griffin House Located?

The Griffin House is located 5 minutes west of Hood River, OR. Making it the perfect destination wedding option. Hood River is a cute little town with lots of great food and accommodation options for guests. Niko and I arrived a few days before the wedding and stayed in Hood River.
